Axon Drive is an engine component which provides a modest boost to the fleet's in-system mobility and to the Vindicator's speed in space battles. It is an incremental improvement over the original Emdrive Mark I and outperformed by other engines that can be unlocked later.

The Axon Drive is unlocked by visiting the Great Void Starbase near Delta Pavo.

Axon Drives can be acquired at the following locations:
- Lalande 21185 IX
- Proxima Centauri VI: salvage from crashed ship on the surface
- Starbases: purchase for 5000 RU once unlocked
