A System Scanner is a special component which helps the captain identify planets with objects of interest or other plot importance from the system view. A small exclamation point (!) icon is placed by each world of interest. This helps the captain reach important locations without the need to methodically visit and search each world in a system.

The System Scanner is unlocked by visiting the Inner Source Starbase near Sol.
